Scott first performed Edgar Allan Poe’s “The Tell-Tale
Heart” in High School for drama class final exam. He
got an A. (He still performs the piece twenty-eight
years later as part of his one-man show “Edgar Allan Poe
Comes Alive!” currently touring the Mid Atlantic
States.)
He
went on to study acting at Emerson College in Boston and
then at Circle in the Square Theater School in New York
City. He has starred in over fifty professional plays
with thousands of performances at dozens of theaters
including; Vermont’s Green Mountain Guild, Boston’s Open
Door Shakespeare Theater, New York’s Off-Broadway
Theaters, Sacramento’s B Street and California’s School
Tour Theaters where he performed for more than 600,000
California schoolchildren.
In
Los Angeles Scott had some success, lots of plays and
improv groups, a few small movies like “The Benzedrine
Monks of Santa De Monica” and “Teen Wolf Too” and a
couple of TV shows like “Providence” and “The Edge.”
Where he really made his mark, however, was in TV
Commercials. Scott starred in more than forty-five of
them.
A
couple of years ago Scott retired to Virginia in order
to be closer to his aging mother and has since bought a
home overlooking the beautiful Shenandoah Valley. In
May of 2008 Scott formed his own touring theater called
“The Traveling Jones Theater” and is currently touring
his very successful one-man show “Edgar Allan Poe Comes
Alive!”
